A Scout is Reverent

A Scout is reverent toward God. He is faithful in his religious duties and respects the convictions of others in matters of custom and religion.

Grow Stronger in Faith

The programs help us explore and learn more about our faith. Each of the more than 40 religious awards has a curriculum created, administered, and awarded by the leaders of the various religious groups, but each program is recognized and supported by the Scouts BSA, allowing for the emblems to be worn on the official uniform.

Religious emblems are important because they help connect young people deeply to their faith and implement Scouting as part of a congregation’s youth ministry within the denominations where they belong.
